Scream Jungle (Jigh Jungle) is a destination for daredevils who wish to have horrific experiences.

In the outskirts of Mashhad City in Iran’s Khorasan Razavi Province, there lies a jungle that resembles any other by the days, but scares the hell out of its visitors when the night falls.

As its name suggests, the scream jungle is where frightening screaming sounds can be heard by nights.

Any traveler who has stepped feet in the woods would say they have heard shrieking sounds of a woman who is probably burning in fire.

The scarier side of this place is the sounds that start with twilight of the air and stop with the sunrise.

Besides all the myths on the existence of all the supernatural forces and ghosts that shout by nights, there are some scientific justifications for the source of the terrifying sounds.

While some deliberations and observations indicate the presence of some grasshoppers that make strange sounds, some other suggest the existence of a special species of crickets that live in big numbers among the trees.

Yet, the locals have never eye-witnessed such insects even in the vicinity of the woods, which makes them believe in the myths.
